Staying cool in the heat!

This past week has been hot, hot, hot here in Oregon/Washington.... a few days got into the 100's, which doesn't happen too often. We found ways to cool off, though, and spent a couple afternoons in Target eating icees and popcorn ;-) Emma loves the hot weather though, because she can wear her summer dresses all day, and her swimsuit(her two favorite things to wear :-) Our park in BG has water fountains the kids can play in, and we go there A LOT!Emma and Ben's cousins Isabella and Finn came over (in the picture), and played in the pool and ate popcicles.Oh, to be a kid again!

Thomas the train!

This past week Dave's brother and his family moved out here to Oregon, and we are very excited to have them so close! It will be so much for for Emma and Lucas to get to know each other better! Lucas loves Thomas the train, and Mark and Thuy had gotten tickets to go to A Day out with Thomas on the Mount Hood Railroad.... it was a fun day, and the kids had a great time!

Vacation Bible School

Emma had a great week at VBS at church, it was her first time going, and she loved it! I taught one of the preschool classes, so she got to be in my class and we had lots of fun. She made a lot of new friends! And she was very excited to sing for her daddy on Sunday morning, but then we she got up on stage with the other kids she froze and stared off into the distance the whole time :-) poor kid...... Ben was in the guppy class :-), and he did good too!
