Sherlock Holmes he's not...

Today when we got home from grocery shopping I heard a noise coming from the hall bathroom. Sure enough, the water in the sink was running FULL BLAST- the whole time we were gone. This isn’t the first time it’s happened, so I yelled “Everybody get in here right now!” The sounds of lots of little feet  running down the hall followed. There they stood in front of me- all three of them. I said, “Who left the water running after they washed their hands?”
Emma and Ben both instantly denied it. Katie was just shaking her head no, then yes, then no.  Then just silence as I stood there with my hands on my hips.
Then Ben says, “Well, lets just figure this out. Hmm..(He says while tapping his finger to his chin)… Katie can’t even reach the sink.. And Emma always turns it off..and me ..oh, man, I guess it was me then….”
His powers of deduction are awesome. I don’t think he meant to implicate himself, but it made it a lot easier for me!

Memorial Day

We drove down to Dallas Memorial weekend to make our trip up to the cemetary. The Avenue of Flags always takes your breath away, and always humbles me every time. I am so very thankful for those that have served selflessly for all of us! It's such a wonderful day to remember those that have gone before us, talk about good memories, and sometimes cry.
Emma was able to join my mom and grandma this year helping clean off the gravestones, arrange flowers and do some watering. She was such a great helper. Here are a few pictures:

Here is Emma standing next to my dad's flag!

And thanks to Dave Winters, we got this fabulous picture :)

We always end our time at the cemetery remembering Papa Don and Grandpa GG.. Ben and Jackson were taking a moment to think about their grandpa...

Spring Fishing!

Dave was able to go salmon fishing with some of the guys from work, and they actually got 4 Salmon! The kids thought the fish was HUGE, and I'm pretty sure Katie thought it was still alive.. Now we're enjoying LOTS of fresh salmon!

And then a couple weeks later, Dave took Emma and Ben up to Merwin Lake to fish for Kokane- they brought home 3, but apparently they actually caught 5 (that's the story they're sticking with anyway :) They had a blast!
